Rachel Cloud Adams is a writer, editor, journalist, and visual artist from Baltimore, Maryland. She writes about cities, historic places, art and design, education, and the social sciences. Her poetry has appeared in such journals as The North American Review, Cagibi, Quail Bell, Hobart, Typehouse, and elsewhere. She is the founder and editor of the literary journals Lines + Stars and GROUND. At the Child Welfare League of America, she is the editor of several publications, including a peer-reviewed academic journal focusing on child welfare policy, practice, and program development. She received her MA in writing from the Johns Hopkins University.
